This Moment For America - And For Chattanooga

A recent protest in Chattanooga.
#ICantBreatheCha

A month after the killing of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis - and everything that has happened since, both here in the Chattanooga area and across the nation - where do we go from here?

That’s a question I heard yesterday during a discussion that included two scholars on our campus, The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Chandra Ward is assistant professor of sociology here at UTC - and Jonathan McNair is the Ruth S. Holmberg Professor of American Music.

I spoke with them - and Marcus Ellsworth, artistic manager at Barking Legs Theater here in Chattanooga - as well as an activist and organizer.
