Thanks, WUTC Listeners: You made the difference during Tuesday's "Pet Fest," raising money for animals in need, celebrating your pets - and supporting your public radio station here in Chattanooga and the Tennessee Valley.
The giving continues online at wutc.org.
One of our partners for “Pet Fest” was McKamey Animal Center, where Inga Fricke is executive director.
Another “Pet Fest” partner was the Humane Educational Society.
At HES, Emily Johnson is foster coordinator, Adrienne Powell is a foster caregiver and Chasity Garrett is animal enrichment manager.
Also at McKamey, Kirsty Woody is an assistant vet tech and lead person for triage.
Let’s celebrate two more community organizations that help animals in need: Whitney Sickels is owner of The Naughty Cat Cafe here in Chattanooga - and Rachel Kile is a volunteer and past board member at Pet Placement Center in Chattanooga.
Also during WUTC's "Pet Fest," we heard from Kathleen Bailey of Bath, Maine - who adopted her dog, named Bailey, through HES last year.
