This year, the Hunter Museum of American Art celebrates 70 years here in Chattanooga - and we’re bringing you a series of conversations on its history, legacy and impact.

For this conversation, we share perspectives from artists within reach of the Hunter here in the Southeast.

- Jeffrey Morton, a painter, chairs the art department at Covenant College on Lookout Mountain.

- Baggs McKelvey does sculpture installation and mixed media art - and teaches art at Chattanooga State Community College.

- Amy Pleasant - known for painting, drawing and wall drawing - is an artist in Birmingham;

- and, Vadis Turner is a mixed-media artist in Nashville, and a lecturer at Vanderbilt University.
