Paths Ahead For Chattanooga’s Alton Park Connector Project

Part of what will become the Alton Park Connector.
The Trust for Public Land
Part of what will become the Alton Park Connector.

Here in Chattanooga, the Alton Park Connector project - when fully complete - will create a walkable and bikeable path across Chattanooga Creek to Crabtree Farms.

It will extend from Clifton Hills to the intersection of West 33rd Street and St. Elmo Avenue, linking the Tennessee Riverwalk from its Wheland Foundry Trailhead through Southside Community Park.

Noel Durant is Tennessee State Director at the Trust for Public Land.

Maria Noel - who lives in the Alton Park neighborhood - is president of the South Chattanooga Community Association.
