Barry Moser is a printmaker best known for his wood engravings and his illustrations of literature.

A Chattanooga native, he is a graduate of our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - when it was still known as the University of Chattanooga.

UTC Special Collections holds the largest selection of his work - and starting Friday, several dozen of his pieces will go on display at the Association for Visual Arts, or AVA, in Chattanooga with a kickoff event at 6 PM.

Emily Ruiz is a senior at UTC, an intern in Special Collections and a part-time staffer at AVA.

She curated the exhibition - titled, “Transformation: Exploring the Art of Bookmaking with Barry Moser” - collaborating with Cathryn Runyon, Director of Special Collections at UTC.
