For more than four decades, the Bessie Smith Cultural Center has preserved and celebrated the history and culture of African-Americans here in Chattanooga.
On Saturday, the center will host the brand-new Bessie Smith Legacy Gala at the Chattanooga Convention Center, starting at 6 PM.
