In the last third of the last century, artists in Latin America through their works defied the dictatorships and oppression of their era.

Some of that art - created by women - centered on the body.

On Tuesday, an art historian based in Arizona talks about “Body Politics / Political Bodies in Latin American Art” here on our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - starting at 5 PM in Room 315 of the Fine Arts Center.

Dr. Julia Kershaw, a visiting professor of art history here at UTC, tells us more about her.
