“The Six Triple Eight” is a film that tells the story of an all-Black and all-female U.S. Army battalion in Europe during World War II who fixed a three-year backlog of undelivered mail.
Part of the film - written and directed by Tyler Perry, released last year - was shot here in Chattanooga.
On Friday, a free screening of “The Six Triple Eight” comes to The Walker Theatre with a preshow talk at 6:30 PM and the screening at 7 PM - presented by the City of Chattanooga and Culture & Co. Museum, part of the Bobby Stone Film Series.
