As students settle into the first month of Fall Semester here on our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - so is Dr. Kumar Yelamarthi.
He is the new Dean of UTC’s College of Engineering and Computer Science - and he also holds a joint faculty appointment in electrical engineering and computer science.
Before starting here at UTC in July, Dr. Yelamarthi served for four years at Tennessee Technological University as associate dean of academic affairs in its College of Engineering.
During that time, he worked with Dr. Lori Mann Bruce, then the provost and vice president of academic affairs at Tennessee Tech - and now, our new Chancellor here at UTC.
