A Chattanooga native, Mark worked for 40 years as a newspaper sportswriter and columnist - first at The Chattanooga News-Free Press, part of what is now The Chattanooga Times Free Press, and then in Alabama.
This October, Mark came back to this city - and spoke at the downtown Chattanooga Public Library at an exhibit on Tennessee’s baseball history, titled “Home Runs & Home Teams,” on display at the Library through March 18th.
On the way to his talk, he stopped by for this conversation.
