Historic preservation is often described as a community good.
It’s also an opportunity for investment.
For fifteen years, Kim Trent led Knox Heritage, the historic preservation nonprofit in Knoxville which now encompasses 16 counties in that part of East Tennessee.
Today, she is executive director of the National Preservation Partners Network, working with communities on historic preservation across the country.
On Thursday, December 4th, Kim will be the next speaker at CIVIQ, presented by Chattanooga Design Studio, at the downtown Chattanooga Public Library - starting at 5:30 PM.
I spoke with Kim - and Eric Myers, executive director of Chattanooga Design Studio.
