“Alice by Heart” is a musical set during the London Blitz of World War II.
Two teenagers, sheltering underground in a bunker while the city is bombarded by the Nazis, turn to their copy of the fairy tale “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” - and their imagination opens a door.
Next week, the musical comes to our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - presented by UTC Theatre Co. from Tuesday through Saturday in the Dorothy Hackett Ward Theatre in the Fine Arts Center.
Steve Ray, who heads UTC’s Department of Theatre, is the director of “Alice by Heart.”
Teagan Bartz, a junior at UTC, plays Alfred.
Annie Mitchell, a senior, plays Alice.
