Spring may be known as the season for flowers - but for a long time, flowering plants have shaped the world we know today all year round.

Author David George Haskell explores that phenomenon in his latest book: “How Flowers Made Our World: The Stories of Nature’s Revolutionaries,” published by Viking.

On Wednesday, David talks about his book at the University of Sewanee, where he once taught biology.

This Friday, he speaks here on our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center, starting at 6 PM.
