Nashville-based singer-songwriter and UTC alum Rachel McIntyre Smith stopped by the WUTC studios for a conversation with Haley Solomon. She discussed the rerelease of her EP, Honeysuckle Friend, now expanded into Honeysuckle Friend Deluxe with three previously unreleased songs. The new tracks were written during the same creative period and recorded in Chattanooga with Dran Michael Lewis at Deadbird Studio.
Rachel shares the stories behind the songs, reflects on her work with the Girl Scouts, and talks about her transition from life in Chattanooga to Nashville.
She also performs “Hold the Latter” and “The Attic” from Honeysuckle Friend Deluxe.
