Following Plea Deal, General's Misconduct Gets Fine And Reprimand
An Army general accused of sexually assaulting a subordinate, was sentenced today by a military judge. Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair was fined $20,000 and received a letter of reprimand. He could have received up to 25 years in jail for the initial charges. The case fell apart because of credibility problems with the accuser; a plea deal dropped the more serious charges.
