In the heart of downtown Chattanooga, celebration is in the air at Creative Discovery Museum. The nationally-ranked children’s museum opened its doors thirty years ago this month - on May 26th, 1995. This Saturday, the Museum will host a Day of Play from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Last summer, Ilya Ram was appointed Music Director of the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera - only the fourth person to fill that role since the CSO’s founding in 1933. On Thursday at 8:30 PM, he's the next guest on "The A List with Alison Lebovitz" from our public media partner WTCI PBS.

Each year, a select group of students on our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - is honored for their academic records and their contributions to our community: the Stophel scholars program - supported by the Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel law firm here in Chattanooga in partnership with UTC’s Gary W. Rollins College of Business.

Entrepreneurs are gathering for Chattanooga Entrepreneur Week. Back for a second year, the week of events - presented by TVFCU - runs Monday through Saturday at the Signal and the Historic Chattanooga Choo-Choo. Sarah Mattson is Senior Director of Economic Development at River City Company.

(Aired Weds 3/26/25) On Saturday, the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center opens a new exhibit - honoring Capt. Larry Taylor, the Chattanooga native awarded the Medal of Honor in 2023 for his heroic acts as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War.

Drive by the site today - or watch the webcam online - and the progress is plain to see in the South Broad District, where U.S. Pipe and Wheland Foundry were once open for business.
