Why Obama Put Asia On The Agenda Now
Once hamstrung by the need to wind down two wars, President Obama is now able to focus on his long-planned pivot toward Asia. His first overseas trip since re-election includes a stop in Thailand and historic visits to Cambodia and Myanmar. The strongest diplomatic signals, however, are probably aimed farther north, at China.

A growing number of teenage girls are incarcerated each year. Many have injuries consistent with sexual assault, and up to a third are or have been pregnant. But the care provided in detention is often inadequate for girls because the assessment of their needs misses the mark.

Georgia bans undocumented students from attending some of the most prestigious colleges in the state, and the students have to pay out-of-state tuition at other public colleges. Freedom University is a temporary alternative. Students don't get any official credit, but they do get to learn.

Atlantic City Starts To Dig Out From Sandy
We report from Atlantic City, N.J., on the aftermath of superstorm Sandy and the beginnings of clean up efforts on the barrier island. In the nearby town of Longport, Sandy poured straight through the multi-million dollar oceanfront homes. Casinos in Atlantic City have been closed down since Sunday, with no word yet on when they might reopen. And people who obeyed the order to evacuate the island are still not being allowed back.
