Qualifying rounds are taking place this week and next for Tennessee Songwriters Week. Select songwriters from the qualifying rounds will perform in showcases near the end of the month - including at Songbirds here in Chattanooga on Tuesday, February 21st.

Matt Folz is settling into a new job with a familiar background: the outdoors. He’s the new director of Hamilton County Parks and Recreation, appointed by County Mayor Weston Wamp and approved unanimously by the County Commission. The past few years, Matt has served the county as superintendent of the Tennessee Riverpark.
