August Wilson wrote a collection of ten plays on the African-American experience in the last century, known as "The Century Cycle." One of those plays - "The Piano Lesson" - premieres Friday at Chattanooga Theatre Centre.

The Tuskegee Airmen were the first Black aviators to serve in the United States Armed Forces. When they trained and flew during World War II, the military was segregated - and segregation was the law here in the South. Dr. Daniel Haulman has written several books on the Airmen.

For years, the Company Lab - or CO.LAB - here in Chattanooga has helped guide startup businesses from launch to scale. Now, the nonprofit is setting its sights on what it calls “sustainable mobility.”

Here on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Dr. Mina Sartipi is the founding director of the Center for Urban Informatics and Progress. The center develops data-driven approaches to tackle real-world challenges for “smart cities."

“Ridges to Rivers” is the latest addition to the Tennessee Aquarium here in Chattanooga. The new gallery, which opens Wednesday, is a multi-sensory journey through the streams of Southern Appalachia, home to an abundance of aquatic species.
