The Chattanooga Lookouts played the final game of their season last week.

Once upon a time, segregation forced some of Chattanooga’s greatest talents to play on other local baseball teams.

One of them: Charles White, who pitched professionally for the all-Black Chattanooga Stars in the 1950’s, as William Newlin of Chattamatters tells us.
