Creative works - such as paintings, poetry and music, for example - can convey timeless truths.
That’s the heart of “Illuminate,” a new conference on the intersection of art and faith - set for Thursday, April 4th and Friday, April 5th - at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale.
The presentations, performances, workshops and conversations at “Illuminate” will feature participants from across the country and around the Chattanooga area.
Among them: Charlie Newton, artist and preacher, who with his wife Iantha runs the SPLASH Youth Arts Workshop here in Chattanooga.
Charlie is an alum of our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - and joining him for his presentation at Illuminate: Chyela Rowe, manager of arts therapies and wellbeing at CHI Memorial Hospital.
