"Sustainable mobility" is at the heart of the CO.MOBILITY Summit, launched last year here on our campus: the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Next week, the Summit returns - at UTC and at other venues in this city - from Monday, May 20th through Wednesday, May 22nd.
In 2005, a small red food truck serving Mexican food opened in Southside Chattanooga. Over the years, the food truck became a restaurant - Taqueria Jalisco - as the neighborhood transformed into what it is today. Jorge Parra is owner of the family business.
This past academic year, first-generation Latino students from our campus - the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga - and Chattanooga State Community College attended “Avanzando Through College,” a program by La Paz Chattanooga to help empower them to succeed in college.
A century ago, artists and their studios in this country and Europe fashioned art glass in what was then a new style: Art Deco. Next week, pieces from an art glass collection go on display at the Hunter Museum of American Art here in Chattanooga - on Thursday, May 23rd.
