When William Shakespeare wrote his plays centuries ago in England, he could hardly imagine how what he imagined might be reimagined.
Take “Hamlet,” for example - there’s a film version set in London’s South Asian community that is now on the film festival circuit.
And in Northwest Georgia, another contemporary version of the play is on stage - from the Conasauga Shakespeare Coalition, based in Dalton.
That production opened over the weekend at the Dalton Convention Center - and heads to Prater’s Mill this Friday and Saturday.
Lane Davies, the Coalition’s artistic director, is co-director of “Hamlet” - and he plays Claudius.
