When Robert Longo creates a drawing, he doesn't just copy a photograph. He translates it, manipulating every detail until a fleeting news image becomes something you cannot ignore. UTC student Malcolm Key believes the same transformation should happen when we experience art, which is why his new radio series The Soundpainter premieres Thursday, October 2 at 11:59 p.m. on WUTC 88.1 FM with Longo's monumental Destroyer Cycle.
