On episode 14 of The Soundpainter, Malcolm Key explores an artist whose works helped define the visual language of the naturalist movement in France. In the early 20th century, people in France developed an intense passion for the outdoors and ‘naturist’ pursuits such as natural medicine, anarchism, nudism, vegetarianism, etc. Villetmot, a graphic designer of the time, used his posters as an opportunity to represent the sun loving, nudist, minimal nature of the culture at that time.
