On Thursday, September 17th, jazz pianist Benny Green will perform at UTC as a benefit for WUTC.
The concert - provided with support from Ken Dryden, host of WUTC's "Timeless Jazz" and his wife Nancy - begins at 7:30 PM in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall at UTC's Fine Arts Center.
While Green has performed solo and with his own trio in recent years, he has toured and performed with numerous jazz greats during his career - including Betty Carter, Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, the Freddie Hubbard Quintet and Ray Brown's trio - as well as featured in a duet with Diana Krall on her Grammy-winning "All For You" album, and recording the two-piano "Oscar and Benny" album with Oscar Peterson.
