A few weeks ago, the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga released its inaugural report on “The State of Black Chattanooga.”

It chronicles the data - national, state and local - on various gaps and disparities - such as economic, education and health - for Black residents in Chattanooga and Hamilton County, with considerations for community stakeholders - public and private - on how to address them.

Candy Johnson is president and CEO of the Urban League.
