Maclellan Island is an urban wildlife refuge of nearly 20 acres on the Tennessee River in the heart of downtown Chattanooga.

On Saturday, April 23rd, the nonprofit Nova Conservation will present “Birding and Boating: A Maclellan Island Adventure” - a bird research and paddle trip to the island, which belongs to the Chattanooga Audubon Society.

All proceeds will support wildlife protection and environmental nonprofits.

Laura Marsh is founder of Nova Conservation - also an ornithologist, a biologist who studies birds.

Sunshine Loveless is with Outshine Adventures.
