Sierra Ferrell, Leftover Salmon to headline 2026 IBMA Bluegrass Live! in Chattanooga

IBMA reveals the 2026 Bluegrass Live! lineup, led by Sierra Ferrell, plus a new free Pickin' in the Park event in Chattanooga.

The International Bluegrass Music Association has announced the lineup for the 2026 IBMA Bluegrass Live! festival, bringing award-winning performers and a new festival format to downtown Chattanooga this fall.

The two-day event, presented by Chattanooga Tourism Co., is scheduled for Oct. 23rd and 24th as part of the annual IBMA World of Bluegrass conference and festival week.

This year's lineup includes Sierra Ferrell, Leftover Salmon, Larry Sparks, Michael Cleveland & Friends, Lindsay Lou presents Bluegrass Women, Lonesome River Band, Della Mae, Jason Carter Band, Special Consensus, Randy Steele & High Cold Wind, and Barefoot Nellie & Co.

New Format for 2026

For 2026, IBMA is dividing Bluegrass Live! into two experiences. Ticketed performances will take place at The Signal, the Chattanooga Convention Center and Barrelhouse Ballroom, while a new free outdoor event called Pickin' in the Park will bring live music to Miller Park and Miller Plaza.

The indoor festival is designed to offer a more intimate experience with limited attendance and weather-independent venues. Organizers say the new format will allow fans to be closer to performers while creating a more consistent festival experience.

Festival Tickets

Festivalgoers can purchase either a general admission weekend pass or one of 200 VIP weekend passes. VIP benefits include premium seating, dedicated venue access and two exclusive pre-show receptions featuring live performances, beverages and light refreshments.

Late Night at Barrelhouse concerts will return with performances by Lonesome River Band and Jason Carter Band. Separate tickets will be required for those shows, even for weekend pass holders.

IBMA members will have access to a ticket presale beginning July 14 at 10 a.m. Central Time. Tickets go on sale to the general public July 21 at 10 a.m. Central Time.

Pickin' in the Park

Pickin' in the Park replaces the former Streetfest and will offer two days of free performances featuring college bands, Kids on Bluegrass participants and local Chattanooga musicians. The outdoor event will also include food vendors, arts and crafts and public gathering spaces. Organizers say the lineup for Pickin' in the Park will be announced later this summer.

Bluegrass Live! is one of four events that make up IBMA World of Bluegrass, which runs Oct. 20th through 24th in Chattanooga. The week also includes the IBMA Business Conference, Bluegrass Ramble and the 37th Annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards.
