Hyundai Chairman Indicted in South Korea Scandal
South Korea indicts the chairman of one of its biggest companies, Hyundai Motor group. He is charged with setting up a $100 million fund to bribe politicians. The scandal has already claimed one life, a government official who committed suicide. It also threatens a pillar of the Korean economy.

Ebbers Sentenced to 25 Years for Fraud
Bernard Ebbers, the former CEO of Worldcom, is sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in what authorities call the largest accounting fraud in U.S. history. Ebbers, 63, was found guilty on charges of securities and reporting fraud. He is expected to appeal.

White House bolsters efforts to get baby formula into the hands of WIC recipients
States have been asked to increase accessibility of baby formula for recipients of the low-income program. And the Food and Drug Administration is looking at ways to make it easier to import formula.
'Washington Post' Confirms Deep Throat's Identity
Thirty-three years after a break-in at the Watergate hotel, one more mystery is solved. The Washington Post has confirmed that former FBI official W. Mark Felt was Deep Throat, a confidential source who guided the newspaper's coverage of the scandal that led to President Richard Nixon's resignation. The Post's David Von Drehle interviewed Bob Woodward, who held secret meetings with Felt, and discusses the unmasking of Deep Throat.

Upcoming House Report on Katrina Details Failures
A report from investigators in the House, due for release Wednesday, is expected to fault all levels of government in the response to Hurricane Katrina. Authors of the report, "A Failure of Initiative," outline 90 serious flaws in the response -- ranging from ineffective leadership at the Department of Homeland Security to inadequate state and local plans for evacuation to a "fog of war" at the White House.
