Sarah Whitney is a violinist celebrated around the world for pushing the boundaries of classical music by blending contemporary sounds. A performer, an educator and a career coach for musicians, Sarah will be in residence this week - Wednesday through Friday - here on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

What are the stories of people who are homeless here in Chattanooga? “Chattown Chatta: Our Homeless” is a collection of interviews with some of those people. The book version, edited by Mark Anderson, contains twenty-one interviews - transcribed from three-and-a-half hours of video, while the documentary film runs 58 minutes.

Dr. Emma McDonell is the author of “The Quinoa Bust: The Making and Unmaking of an Andean Miracle Crop,” published by the University of California Press. She is an assistant professor of anthropology here on our campus, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
