The Front Lawn Party For This Juneteenth At The Bessie

In downtown Chattanooga this weekend, a jam for the Juneteenth holiday at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center.

The holiday - which is Monday - commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans after the end of the Civil War.

On Saturday, the Bessie will host its Juneteenth Freedom Celebration, from Noon to 6:30 PM.
