For Fourth Of July Eve, Pops On The River Returns To Chattanooga

Here in the Chattanooga area, a few free celebrations for the Fourth of July will be in full swing the evening before.

On Wednesday, Pops on the River - which was not held last year because of a lack of funding - returns to downtown Chattanooga, starting at 4:30 PM in Coolidge Park with patriotic music and fireworks for the finale.

Just east of Chattanooga, another free celebration on the eve of the Fourth of July is in Collegedale. This year’s Collegedale Freedom Festival and Fireworks takes place on Wednesday at the Commons, beginning at 4:30 PM - with fireworks set for 9:30 PM.
