September is Hunger Action Month - and Tuesday is Hunger Action Day - across the country.

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank distributes food to people in need across twenty counties in Tennessee and Georgia.

Cuts in Federal funding to food banks nationwide have impacted the food bank here, which is why the nonprofit is building up its data-drivenapproach and its fundraising with two recent hires.

Corey Evatt is the Food Bank’s first director of data insights and innovation.

Ghryn Wakefield is its Chief Development Officer.
