This time last year, Hurricane Helene had just ripped through parts of Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina.

A year later, the rebuilding goes on - and so does talk of resilience - for the communities hardest hit.

This year’s Tri-State Summit - presented by Thrive Regional Partnership - will host a panel discussion, titled: “After the Storm: Lessons Learned from Hurricane Helene” - on Thursday starting at 3:15 PM at The Westin in downtown Chattanooga.

Joel Houser of Open Space Institute will lead the discussion - joined by the President and CEO of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, a senior adviser for the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy - and Tennessee’s State Climatologist.
