(Aired Thu 10/16/25)

Earlier this year, just in time for Earth Day, Chattanooga attained the designation of a National Park City - the first city in North America to achieve that status.

On Monday, National Park Partners - which is separate from National Park City - will host a conversation for its next event in the Rita Vital Moccasin Bend Lecture Series - titled, “The Relevance of Community Involvement in a National Park City” - starting at 7 PM at the Tennessee Aquarium’s River Journey Auditorium.

M. Ann Belkov, the former Superintendent of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park - now retired from the National Park Service - will be in conversation with Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly.

Jennifer Crutchfield is with National Park Partners.
