As Thanksgiving approaches, it is a time for people to gather - and give.

This Thursday, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the community Thanksgiving luncheon known as Gratefull - that’s Gratefull with two L’s - will celebrate its tenth year in downtown Chattanooga at one long table on East Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in front of the Bessie Smith Cultural Center.

Next week, on Thanksgiving morning, the Grateful Gobbler 5K Walk / Run returns to downtown Chattanooga - starting at 8 AM in Coolidge Park, to benefit the Maclellan Shelter for Families.

Esther Lovingood is with River City Company.

Stan McCright is co-chair of The Grateful Gobbler.
