Since 2006, National Park Partners has presented lectures from speakers across the country on national parks, conservation, Indigenous culture and history and Chattanooga’s place in the Civil War.

From the start, the Moccasin Bend Lecture Series has been underwritten by Tennessee State Representative Greg Vital - and it is now named for his mother, Rita.

On this episode of “Scenic Roots,” we bring you the first lecture from Fall 2025 - at the Tennessee Aquarium here in downtown Chattanooga.
