Since 2006, National Park Partners has presented lectures from speakers across the country on national parks, conservation, Indigenous culture and history and Chattanooga’s place in the Civil War.
From the start, the Moccasin Bend Lecture Series has been underwritten by Tennessee State Representative Greg Vital - and it is now named for his mother, Rita.
On this episode of “Scenic Roots,” we bring you the third and final event from the Fall 2025 series: a talk on Public Lands Partnerships by Scott Martin, former administrator of the City of Chattanooga’s Parks and Outdoors - and now the CEO of the Fort Monroe Authority in Virginia.
Here’s Tricia King Mims, executive director of National Park Partners.
