For America 250, A Forum On Religious Freedom In Chattanooga

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution opens with these words: “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

On Wednesday, from 1 PM to 4 PM, a Chattanooga Faith Forum on “Strengthening Religious Freedom Through Civil Dialogue” will be held at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center.

The multifaith forum is part of the America 250 celebration here in Chattanooga and Hamilton County.

Jim Barrott is with the Religious Freedom Alliance Council of East Tennessee.

Micah Fries is director of the Multi-Faith Neighbors Network.
