“Yes, And”: the theme of Thrive Regional Partnership’s Spring Forum in Chattanooga.

(Aired Weds 6/24/26)

How will data centers and energy infrastructure shape the future of where we live?

That was the topic of a panel discussion in May - titled “People, Place and Power” - at Thrive Regional Partnership’s “Yes, And…” Spring Forum on “Thoughtfully Preparing Communities for Energy and A.I.” - presented by the Lyndhurst Foundation at the Tennessee Aquarium here in Chattanooga.

The nonprofit Thrive serves 16 counties where Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia meet - including the Greater Chattanooga area.

The participants on this panel:

  • The moderator:  Dodd Galbreath, founding director of Lipscomb University’s Institute for Sustainable Practice in Nashville.
  • Hunter Hydas, director of system planning at Tennessee Valley Authority.
  • Leigh Hopkins, assistant director of the Center of Economic Development and Research at Georgia Tech.
  • Peter Hubbard, commissioner on the Georgia Public Service Commission.
  • Stacy Funderburke, vice president of the Central Southeast Region - and Georgia and Alabama State Director for The Conservation Fund.

Our thanks to Thrive Regional Partnership, the Lyndhurst Foundation and the panel participants for sharing this discussion with us, so we could share it with you.
