Ian Hall was born and raised in the coal country of Southeastern Kentucky.
The poems in “Creekwater Mansions” - his debut collection, published by EastOver Press - are steeped in that time and that place.
He earned a master of fine arts at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville - and when I spoke with Ian this spring, he was a PhD candidate at Florida State University in Tallahassee.
