The Spirit Of America 250 For This Year’s Party At Point Park

In the fall of 1863, Union and Confederate troops fought for control of Chattanooga during the Civil War - only months after the Battle of Gettysburg.

Today, Point Park overlooks the Lookout Mountain Battlefield and the City of Chattanooga, as part of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park.

On Thursday, September 3rd, the nonprofit National Park Partners hosts its annual “National Treasures: Party at Point Park,” starting at 5:30 PM.

On Monday, September 2nd, the Rita Vital Memorial Moccasin Bend Lecture Series returns to downtown Chattanooga.
