Honoring the songs and styles that have shaped our country from Traditional Folk to Ragtime, Old-Time and EarlyCountry, TheNewQuintet features storyteller and musicologist Nicholas Edward Williams (Guitar,Vocals), Emma Dubose (Fiddle,Vocals), Jade Watts (UprightBass,Vocals), Gordon Inman (Clarinet) and Cody Ray (Guitar, LapSteel). The ensemble's big harmonies, intricate melodies and lush textures rain upon both original and reimagined traditional material. Since forming in 2020 while making Williams' critically acclaimed release Folk Songs For Old Times' Sake, which has been heralded by well-regarded figures of the roots community such as David Holt, OliverWood, Dom Flemons, and JPHarris, The New Quintet has been on stages throughout the Southeast at festivals, concert series, listening rooms and theaters.

Jazz pianist Alan Broadbent will perform a solo piano concert on September 11 at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga, with proceeds from ticket sales benefitting WUTC-FM NPR 88.
Alan Broadbent is well known for his work as a soloist, leader, composer and arranger. He has accompanied a wide array of artists on recordings and in concert, including Charlie Haden's Quartet West, Chet Baker, Sheila Jordan, Bud Shank, Warne Marsh, Woody Herman's Thundering Herd, Irene Kral, Diane Schuur and many others. He has also recorded and toured widely with Diana Krall and the late Natalie Cole. Alan is highly in demand as an arranger and conductor for large ensembles and string orchestras. He has written and conducted for Marian McPartland, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole and Shirley Horn, winning two Grammy Awards.
Alan Broadbent is a Savant Records artist.
