WUTC has kicked off its Spring Pledge Drive. Support WUTC by calling 423-425-4756 and making your donation, or donating online at this link.

As part of our twice-yearly pledge drives, WUTC always has terrific on-air giveaways. This spring we’ve focused on concerts, music festivals, and fun local events, and have tickets/passes for:

·        Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN

·        Shaky Beats in Atlanta, GA

·        Shaky Knees in Atlanta, GA

·        Forecastle music festival in Louisville, KY

·        Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys

·        Garrison Keillor’s touring show

·        A chance to drive a tank at Tanktown in Morganton, GA.

To be automatically entered in the giveaways, donate here, or call 423-425-4756.* Tune in 88.1 FM or listen online for details of each day's giveaway.

Support from listeners is absolutely crucial to WUTC. For 30 years, we’ve been bringing the best of national and local news programming to an audience in a four-state area. In addition, WUTC is unique among local radio stations in its support of musicians, giving local, national, and internationally known artists time on the air live in our main studio to present their music.

All of this wonderful programming costs a tremendous amount of money. Paid programming alone, which is largely news and informational, costs WUTC over a quarter of a million dollars a year: $268,762.91, to be exact.

Support from members and listeners makes up about one-third of WUTC’s annual budget, and it’s money that is critical to WUTC being on the air every day, 365 days of the year, bringing the best of National Public Radio and local programming to listeners both here in Chattanooga and around the world.

So if you’re listening today, if you’re visiting our website to see what that great song was you heard this morning, then click on the big red Donate button on the website or call us at 423-425-4756. We are your public radio station, and your support means we can continue to make a difference in your life.

Thank you!

The Staff of WUTC
