Once upon a time, there was a Porchfest - music for all from a few porches - here in the Chattanooga area.
Now, there’s more than one.
On Saturday, October 3rd, the Red Bank Porchfest returns for a second year.
On Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th, the Highland Park Porchfest is back for a fifth year.
For years, Maggie Carruth O’Connor has organized the Porchfests - and TEDxChattanooga, which returns with its flagship event in November.
Also, earlier this year, Maggie joined the staff of the International Bluegrass Music Association as its Events Director - with IBMA set to return to Chattanooga with its World of Bluegrass for a second year from Tuesday, October 20th through Saturday, October 24th.
