Join Magnolia Grove monastics and the Peaceful River Sangha for a day of meditation, deep rest, and mindful community.
Life moves quickly, and it can be hard to find time to pause and simply be present. This Day of Mindfulness offers a chance to slow down, breathe, and spend a day practicing awareness together in a peaceful and supportive environment.
The day will be guided by monastics from Magnolia Grove Monastery, part of the Plum Village tradition founded by Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. Thich Nhat Hanh helped introduce mindfulness to millions of people around the world through simple practices like mindful breathing, walking, eating, and learning to be fully present in everyday life.
During our time together, we will practice sitting meditation, mindful walking, deep relaxation, and mindful eating, along with a Dharma talk and time for quiet reflection.
No prior meditation experience is needed. Whether you are completely new to mindfulness or have practiced before, you are warmly welcome.
Please bring:• A bag lunch for mindful eating• A yoga mat or cushy blanket for deep relaxation• Comfortable clothing for walking meditation• An open and curious mind
