Chattanooga Theatre Centre Presents Christie's 'The Mysterious Affair at Styles'

Agatha Christie is the best-selling author of all time, according to The Guinness Book of World Records. Her novels have sold over 2 billion copies and have been translated into over 100 languages.

Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, was published in 1920, bit it was just a few years ago when Cleveland, Ohio playwright, David Hansen, re-wrote it for the stage. His adaptation is playing at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre now. The director is Steve Ray, head of the Theatre and Speech Department here at UTC. He talked to Richard Winham about some of the challenges of making the nearly 100 year-old story work for a contemporary audience. It runs through February 11 at the CTC.
